Cross eight rivers and be amazed by their unique waterfalls and natural pools. This paradise on earth is one of the main destinations for four species of sea turtles and tortoises (leatherback sea turtle, loggerhead turtle, green turtle and hawksbill turtle) to nest, incubate and emerge.
ITINERARY
MDE Airport Medellín:
Pick up at MDE airport. Meet you destination specialist and start your trip with an amazing dinner. We will make reservations for you in a great restaurant in the city to prepare yourself for the good times ahead.

San Francisco Village:
Arrival between 9:00am and 11:00am. Set up the camp, free afternoon.
The camp is based 40m from the beach.
• Accommodation: Hammocks on a “Tambo”
• Duration: Free afternoon
• Transport: Local Flight. Then Jeep or similar transportation
• Experience: Rio Ciego, San Pacho town and Triganá. Enjoy the grass for the camp and the beach at 40m

The forest of the giants:
Visit and interact with one of the grandfathers of the jungle, LA CEIBA, Ceiba Pentandra. Considered a plant sacred to many cultures it can grow up to 50 meters in height. This day of trekking is characterized by the appreciation of the giant trees and the lush biodiversity of the humid forest.

Trekking San Pacho- Balboa
A journey through a forest of the Gulf of Urabá, walk between the path of Blind River from the Gulf of URABA and the small town of Balboa in the municipality of Unguía, Choco. Balboa is located 15 km from the beach in the foothills with the Serrania del Darién, there is hiding rivers Tanela and Nati, crystalline waters that fall of the more height of this mountain range bordering the Colombo-Panamanian border

• Duration: 8 hours activity carrying backpacks
• Experience: Ascent to 200 meters . Darien hills viewpoint. The town of Balboa and it ́s people. Rivers: Tanela, Nati y Aguas calientes. Enjoy the humid forest, mountains, rivers and cattle lands.

Pescadito and trekking El Tolo
• Accommodation: Hotel Pinar del río Hotel double accommodation 4*
• Meals: Breakfast - Lunch
• Duration: 7 hours activity carrying the backpacks.
• Transport: 14 km in a “chiva” de local transportation method – tractor to Acandí- Motorbike transport
• Experience: View point of “la Serrania”, Pescadito Forest, Tolo River, Guati and Batatilla rivers, 3 deep natural pools. Enjoy the region and its extensive grounds of livestock.
• Level: 3 on the scale (1 to 5)
Activity 1:
The “chiva” will take you from Balboa to “Pescadito”. From there you star the trek. You will go through a forest and interact with the indigenous communities Embera. Walk amongst cattle lands bordering the river tolo.
Activity 2:
Peñaloza is a river town located 12 km from the municipality of Acandí. After finishing the first hike, you will ride a tractor to hotel Pinar del Rio where we spend the night.

Activity 3:
After checking in and making yourself comfortable at the hotel, you will visit the pools of “Batatilla” a Crystal River and the sheer magic of this day. Motorbike transportation from the hotel to the Guati River approximately 20 minutes. Hike to the “Batatilla river, walk along the river and arrive at the pools.

Trekking Acandi- Capurgana:
• Accommodation: Hotel, double accommodation. Lodge mares 5*, pool.
• Meals: Breakfast
• Duration: 8 hours
• Experience: River Valley, ascend to 200 msnm, Hill of the heaven, Capurgana, viewpoint of Sapzurro, Capurganá and the Panama boarder. Enjoy humid forest and the beach.
Activity 1:
One of the most demanding trekkings in this trip. Starting at 6:30 from your hotel, you will go through the Valley of the rivers across pastures and swamps. It is a big open area with not many trees around. Good hydration is recommended, this will be a great adventure.
Activity 2 Trekking Capurgana - Sapzurro
This last part of the journey will reward you with be the best view of the Gulf of Uraba. You will get to the border between Capurgana and Sapzurro, where the incredible landscape provides the perfect ending for your trip.

Flight to Medellin:
At 6:00am a boat will pick you up and take you to the airport, where you will fly to Medellín (1,20h). Enjoy your free time in Medellin and visit sightseeing places like the Botero square, the botanical garden and the “metro cable” that takes you high up the hills of our beloved city.
