Relatively a new city, loaded with the stigma of drug trafficking, violence and groups on the margins of the law such as guerrillas and paramilitaries, thieves and corrupt people who led the city to a critical point, where steal money and kill people were common in some neighborhoods of Medellín. At the same time, the ruling class lived in opulence and ruled the country as they desired.

However, facing all this terror frame, could more the people who were looking for aspirations, the communities stand together with the hope of improving their lives, managing to change the face of Medellín. New generations started to rule the city, providing support to isolated communities, making them part of the panorama and the plan of the city. Today Medellín is an innovative city that has gone through very difficult times, avoiding many of the biggest problems that a population could face.

Today our city continues developing socially, technologically and professionally and all the citizens are looking for the same objective, we want Medellín as city full of life, opportunities, happiness and color.

OVERVIEW

ITINERARY

We will pick you up at your place in Medellín, it can be at 8:00 in the morning or at 2:00 pm after lunch time, then we will go to visit:

Innovation District:

The North of the City was one of the most marginal sectors of Medellín, for this reason, it was chosen as the epicenter of the knowledge revolution, which led to the construction of large and modern architectural works, which give life to very important spaces of The city, such as Ruta N, El Planetario, La Casa de la Música, the Botanical Garden and the Explora Park, all have in common, work with communities, innovation and knowledge enrichment.

Then we will visit Plaza de Botero:

The Park or Plaza Botero has 7000 m2 donated by the renowned artist Fernando Botero, whose study of the volumes has made it famous throughout the world, the Plaza has 23 sculptures and next to it is the museum of Antioquia also donated by the artist. The square is a place frequented by people of all kinds, mixed with the idiosyncrasy, culture and local people.

And then we will finish our tour at Pueblito Paisa:

The paisas, known for their strength, lived quietly and with few things in the house, most guided by religion. A mountain culture, always accompanied by great families, dogs, and cats which are an important part of these families. Meet a replica of old houses, buy souvenirs and try some of their native sweets. Enjoy all this accompanied by a great view of the city from the small village paisa and have spectacular traditional lunch at the balconies of the replica of our traditional town.

At the end of the tour, we will drop you back at your place.

When should I go on a Colombian Tour?

This is really a question of personal preference. The busy season in the most of the destination is December to January and June to July; because is the student's vacations and the most of families of the country has the opportunity to make the different trips.
