This tour is exclusively for nature lovers, the combined tour includes visiting the jungle rainforest of Madidi National Park and the savannah from Pampas del Yacuma.
According to latest researches, they consider Madidi National Park as the most biodiverse protected area in the world, due to its different landscapes and ecosystems which includes mountains, glaciers, valleys, jungle rainforest and savannahs. This area is also considered sacred land for the indigenous communities such as Tacana, Esse Ejjas, Chimanes and others.
Crossing the Beni River, which is considered one of the 3 largest bolivian rivers and is located in the north part of the country, there is Pampas del Yacuma Protected Area, this destination is famous due to its great diversity of species, its ""easily"" to find huge amounts of animals such as alligators, caimans, monkeys, birds, turtles. This place is also known as the home place of the bolivian river dolphin (Inia boliviensis) which is the unique cetacean that inhabits Bolivia and this specie is considered endemic, due to the molecular structure is different from other river dolphins from South America (Inia geoffrensis). This destination, plenty of misteries, culture, wild life and adventure awaits you. ITINERARY
"The trip starts in Rurrenabaque at 8:30 A.M. starting in a boat with comfortable seats, roof and life jackets complying with nautical safety protocols. Initially we visit an indigenous community where a cultural exchange is offered. During the boat trip along the Beni and Tuichi rivers we will be able to enjoy the beautiful landscapes from the Bala Canyon and the jungle forest of Madidi National Park.
After 3 and a half hour, we will arrive at the Ecolodge ""Mashaquipe"" where the accommodation services and lunch are offered. In the afternoon we will have a short walk through the trails strategically designed for the observation of the local fauna, we can see different species such as monkeys, wild pigs and other mammals, we can also learn about the nature and knowledge of local guides .
Afterwards, we return to the Eco Albergue, dinner is offered, and rest."
"We start at 7:30 A.M. with breakfast. On this day it is proposed to make a campsite at night deep into the jungle, for which a hike of about 4 hours is made to reach the refuge ""Arenalito"", where lunch is offered and then we have a short rest. Around 3:30 P.M. There is a walk to the top of the mountainous area where a great variety of birds live, such as macaws, parrots and others.
From the top of the mountains, we can enjoy the beautiful panorama and sunset. At night we can make a short hike in order to observe different species that are difficult to watch during the day, among them the jaguar, a sacred species for the indigenous communities of the Bolivian Amazon."
the tour starts very early at 05:00 A.M. with a short hike around the refuge where we can observe the sunrise, then breakfast is offered to then start a trek to the Tuichi River, where we can build a rustic raft for navigating on the Tuichi River until we reach the Ecolodge "Mashaquipe". In the afternoon we can do any activity that the group wants.
"We start early at 6:00 A.M. with breakfast and return to Rurrenabaque. Approximately at 8:30 A.M. we depart to Santa Rosa del Yacuma in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle with capacity for 5 passengers, with safety belts and air conditioning. During the tour we will be able to observe different species such as sloths, anteaters, toucans and others.
Halfway, through the day, we take a boat to cross the Yacuma River to reach the Ecolodge "Las Tortugas where accommodation service and lunch are offered. In the afternoon we navigate the Yacuma River where we can see different species such as lizards, caimans, birds, capybaras, turtles and many others. On return we can swim on the Yacuma River and we can watch the river dolphins or bufeos, emblematic specie of the region and endemic to Bolivia (this activity depends on the time)."
"The tour starts very early at 5:00 A.M. In order to appreciate the sunrise, breakfast is offered later and we leave for the marshes in order to observe the anacondas. Also during the tour we can see other typical species of the destination such as birds, capybaras, alligators, turtles and others.
In the afternoon after lunch, we return to Rurrenabaque arriving at 4:30 P.M."
