Although it is best known for its high Andean mountain ranges and landscapes, Bolivia also treasures some of the most beautiful and unexplored regions of the Amazon rainforest. Among these regions, Madidi is an incomparable natural paradise that offers its visitors amazing views and authentic experiences in the jungle.

OVERVIEW

ITINERARY

The tour starts in Rurrenabaque at 8:30 a.m. taking the boat equipped with life jackets, comfortable seats and roof, complying with the nautical safety protocols. We start visiting the Bala canyon navigating the Beni and Tuichi rivers where we can enjoy the beautiful landscapes.

Around noon we will arrive at the Ecolodge ""Mashaquipe"" where we will have the accommodation and meal services. After a short break, visit the bamboo forest, an ideal place to observe pristine trees, medicinal plants and the typical fauna of the region, seeing species such as wild boar, turtles, insects and birds.

Later return to the Ecolodge for the dinner, then we make a night walk around the lodge.

We start with breakfast at 7:30 A.M. Then we take a walk along the interpretation trail "Arroyo Seco where the guide will share his/her knowledge and teach us about local culture and traditional medicine.
After lunch, we depart to Tuichi River in order to visit an indigenous Tacana community, where ancestral knowledge and culture will be shared. Later we can make an artisanal fishing in a small lagoon in the middle of the thick jungle.

the tour starts at dawn at 7 A.M. with the breakfast service, and then we take the boat and visit the ""Farallón de las parabas"", ideal place to observe the beautiful and colorful macaws, as well as other species of birds. Then it will be proposed to build a rustic rafting to sail approximately 2 hours, there will also be a boat for people who do not wish to do this activity.

The last lunch will be taken at the Ecolodge for later return to Rurrenabaque around 4:00 P.M."

Due to its great biodiversity, is it possible to observe jaguars, pumas or other iconic species?

These iconic species are hard to observe, becuase they can feel our presence from long distances, for this reason we make the activities in small groups (maximum 6 tourists per guide) in order to avoid negative impacts among the environment, anyway is a matter of luck to watch jaguar, pumas and other species.


Is the tour also designed for children and elderly people?

Yes it does, in spite of the weather and the conditions of the tour, we have well trained guides for this kind of travellers. visitors under 18 must be accompanied with parents or tutors. In case that the traveller has a medical observation, he/she must notify at the moment of purchasing the tour.


Is the tour seasonal?

The tour is available all year long, During the rainy season (from December to March) the itinerary could be modified.


Do the meals offer special menu for vegetarian, vegan, celiac or travellers with special diet?
