This tour will bring you the opportunity to live an unforgettable experience, visitng the most iconic destinations: La Paz city, considered one of the seventh wonder cities in the world, Uyuni Salt Flats, where you will feel like you are in another planet and the beautiful jungle where you will connect yourself with mother nature
ITINERARY
Arriving in La Paz we will pick up you form the airport and check in at your accommodation. During these first days you will acclimatize to the altitude from La Paz.
The tour has an approximate duration of 4 hours: it may start in the morning or early afternoon according to your request. Our tour guide will pick you up directly from your accommodation. We will then start our tour through the center of La Paz, taking advantage of a unique opportunity to observe and experience the living nature of this incredible city; walk through its unique alleyways and typical markets; and learn about its unique culture and traditions. We will then enjoy the view of the city from the Teleférico, the world’s longest and highest cable car network. After this ride on top of the world, we will drive to the Moon Valley, (about away from the central district of La Paz), where we can walk on a special path through the canyons, explore and enjoy this fascinating landscape.
The tour has an approximate duration of 4 hours: it may start in the morning or early afternoon according to our passengers’ requests. Our tour guide will pick you up directly from your accommodation. We will then start our tour through the city center, where our guide will introduce us to Sucre’s traditions and history. We will then visit the Central Market to explore the lively nature of its people, and the Liberty House. Finally, we will visit San Francisco Church and enjoy an incredible view of the historic center from La Recoleta – the location where Sucre was founded. At the end of the tour, our guide will drop you off at your accommodation.
Today we will pick you up from your accommodation to start our journey to Uyuni. Arriving in Uyuni we will take you to your accommodation.
Upon your arrival to Uyuni, you will be picked up and taken to the office. The tour will start in the town of Uyuni at approximately 10am: We will then start the day by visiting the Train Cemetery -an immense train graveyard eroded by the salt winds located in the shores of the Salt Flats- continuing towards the indigenous community of Colchani to observe the elaboration of iodized salt in its rustic form.
We then enter to the white deserts in their fullness, driving straight in the middle of the magical Salar de Uyuni. Here, we will visit the typical landscapes of extraction, the Piles of Salt; the unique “eyes of salt”; and the first salt hotel, now a museum; you will be able to enjoy and wonder around the Salt Flats, take perspective and reflection pictures –simply amazing. Lunch will later be served in the heart of the Salt Flats, giving you the incredible opportunity of enjoying traditional food immersed in this unique white desert. In the afternoon, we will take a short trek through the Sajchilla Island*, a largely unexplored site scattered by giant cactuses. In the evening, we will reach our accommodation for the night.
After breakfast, we will enter once again the Salt Flats to hike through the famous Incahuasi (or “Fisherman”) Island*, an ancient island of volcanic rock located in the middle of the Salt Flats and home to millenary giant cacti. Following is a visit the community of San Juan, natural viewpoint to the Ollagüe volcano (still active). In the afternoon, we will visit the Cañapa and Hedionda lagoons, home to pink flamingo populations.
This last day will then finally enter the National Park Eduardo Abaroa. We will start the day visiting the Siloli Desert and the famous Stone Tree, later passing through the Colored Lagoon. We will then stop to observe the astonishing geysers “Sol de Mañana” (we are now at an altitude of approximately 5 thousand meters above the sea level). In the afternoon, we will visit the impressive Salvador Dali Desert and the Green Lagoon, stopping later at the thermal springs. We will finally visit the Valley of Rocks.
After lunch, we will start our return back to Uyuni. On the way we will visit the traditional villages of Villamar, Villa Alota and Culpina, as well as the mining town of San Cristobal. The tour ends in Uyuni at approximately 6.30pm, and then we will return to La Paz
Today we will pick you from your accommodation early in the morning to take the first flight to Rurrenabaque. Upon your arrival in Rurrenabaque you will be picked up to start your Pampas journey. It starts at 8:30am, when we will be transferred from Rurrenabaque to the beautiful village of Santa Rosa. The ride lasts around 3 hours and goes through some fascinating rural areas where you will be able to spot sloths, anteaters and birds. From Santa Rosa we will then take a short boat ride (15 minutes) to our eco-lodge, “The Turtles”, where we will be welcomed with a delicious lunch. We will be assigned our cabins and have some time to rest to prepare for this incredible adventure. In the afternoon, we will head to the River Yacuma, where we will be able to fish for piranhas*, look out for toucans and enjoy the sunset. In the evening we will return to the eco-lodge for dinner and take a night boat trip to observe caimans and other nocturnal animals.
We will start the day by sailing through River Yacuma to observe the abundant wildlife that populates its shores and waters: capybaras, turtles, monkeys and the incredible pink dolphins –an endangered animal that is unique to the Amazon river. We will then return to the eco-lodge for lunch and for a relaxing rest in the hammocks. In the afternoon, we will hop on our boats again to continue our adventure in search of wildlife. Depending of the time of the year (usually possible only during the rainy season), we might be able to find the perfect spot for a playful swim with the pink dolphins! In the evening, we will return to the eco-lodge for a delicious typical dinner.
This last day in the Bolivian pampas will begin at 5am, to enjoy the sunrise and hear the awakening of the animals. After breakfast, we will be able to go on a short-guided walk to seek-out anacondas and other wild animals. We will then return to the eco-lodge for lunch and finally make our way back to Rurrenabaque, where we will arrive around 4:30pm and then take the last flight to La Paz and then to your accommodation.
On your last day we will transfer you to the airport to continue your journey to you next destination.

• Roads in Uyuni are not paved, so we will use 4x4 cars.

• In Uyuni, upon request, we can add a stargazing tour to observe the night sky upon the white desert, which –thanks to its high altitude and absence of artificial lights - offers a spectacular view of the stars.
• The Sajchilla and Incahuasi Islands may not be reachable during the rainy season, when the Salt Flats are flooded.
• The itinerary may vary depending on your accommodation choice.
